He was predeceased by: his parent George Charles Hutchins; and his brother George Francis Hutchins. He is survived by: his parent Thetus Jane Carpenter Hutchins; his siblings, Mary Catherine Jordan of Thomasville, Teresa Shiver of Jacksonville, Fla. and Ron Hutchins (Sandra) of Moultrie; his nephew J. P. Shiver of Jacksonville, Fla.; his niece Victoria Cox (Jerry) of Thomasville; and his great-nephews, Owen House and Cullen House.
