He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wheeler Norman, Sr. and Ola Mae McMullen Norman; his siblings, Hazel Norman, Lincoln Norman, Virginia Eldridge (Homer) and Edith Smith (Max); his siblings-in-law, Marise Norman, Jackie Norman, Roger Norman and Dennis Elrod; his daughter-in-law Renee'Norman; and his parents-in-law, Odis and Alberta Elrod.
He is survived by: his wife Laverne Elrod Norman; his children, Joe Wheeler "Joey" Norman, III and Benita Harrod (Rodney); his grandsons, Bentley Hughes (Brittany) and Austin Harrod; his great grandchildren, Koley of Moultrie and Grey Hughes of Moultrie; his brothers, Nick Dennis Norman of Moultrie and Herman Norman of Alabama; and also, Larue Calhoun (Jack) of Moultrie, Myra Norman of Moultrie and Annette Tillman of Moultrie. He is also survived by extended family including nieces, nephews, and cousins.
