She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Herman Kalkofen and Clara Elizabeth Pitts Kalkofen; her husband Max Gay; and her siblings, Fred Kalkofen, Lloyd Kalkofen, Leon Kalkofen and Bernice Vavruska.

She is survived by: her daughters, Perri Adams of Moultrie and Elizabeth Rick of Moultrie; and her grandchildren, Averi Adams, Michelle Sparks, Randi Deal, Cheyne Starky, Katie Sparks and Alex Sparks. She is also survived by her girl scout grandchildren.
