He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Clayton and Evelyn Gertrude Howell Clayton; and his brother-in-law Chris Meadows. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Sue Bacon Clayton; his sons, James Scott Clayton (Lee), Adam Clayton (Sara) and Benjamin Clayton (Lori); his grandchildren, Anna Clayton, Catherine Clayton, Audrey Clayton, Jac Clayton, Susan Clayton, Becca Clayton, Hardin Reeves and Holden Reeves; his sisters, Joy Meadows and Linda Davidson (Earl); and his sister-in-law Sherry Cooper (Jerry). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home & Crematory (2222 GA-37, Moultrie, GA 31788). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
