He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloy Carr Murphy and James Henry Murphy, Sr.; his grandson Tate Henry Murphy; and his sisters, Sandra Wallet and Susan Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Katy Taylor Murphy of Moultrie; his sons, Clint Murphy (Sarah) of Moultrie and Zack Murphy (Whitney) of Statesboro, GA; his granddaughters, Katie Lynn Murphy, Rivers Caroline Murphy and Hallie Grace Murphy; and his sisters, Linda Bloyder of Billings, MT and Anna Rowley (Frank) of Douglas, GA..
