James Harmon Mercer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Harmon Mercer (Moultrie, Georgia), who passed away on February 12, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellie Austin Mercer and Emma Estelle Mercer; his wife Ruby Mae Wilson Mercer; his son Timothy Mercer; his siblings, Bill Mercer and Nellie Murphy; and his stepdaughter Phyllis Blackburn.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Mercer (Tina), Jan Walker (Carl), Vickie Tucker (Bobby), Donna Pate (Ricky) and Donnie Mercer (Emily); his brothers, Jack Mercer of Fairhope, AL and David Mercer of Pelham, GA; his sister-in-law Irmgard Mercer of Pelham, GA; his stepchildren, Vickie Williams of Moultrie and John L. Miller, Jr. of Moultrie; and his grandchildren, Amanda Mercer, Sean Mercer, Timmy Walker (Sandra), Angie Kimbrell (Thomas), Jamey Tucker (Heather), Megan Spence (Michael), April Haymons (Andy), Autumn Pate, Elizabeth Mercer (Tammy), Matthew Mercer (Nicole) and Joanie Blackburn. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
