It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alvin Peacock of Moultrie, Georgia, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Peacock and Mattie Sue Gibson Peacock; his wife Virginia Bivins Peacock; and his siblings, Robert Peacock, Lamar Peacock, Virginia Peacock Ricks and Jackie Peacock Pope.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Gibbs (Tommy) and Carol Bannister (Chuck); his grandchildren, Josh Gibbs (Crystal), Laura Hill Bannister and Will Bannister; his great grandchild Elijah Gibbs; his sister Janie Peacock Rhodes of Moultrie; and his caregivers, Gwen Mack and Kathy Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
