She was predeceased by: her mother Eva Giles Hiers; her husband William Lathers Long; and her siblings, Harvey Hiers, John Hiers, Sid Hiers, Bill Hiers, Baker Hiers, Louise Hall and Grace Sapp.
She is survived by: her brother Gene Hiers (Bernice) of Moultrie; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Hiers of Moultrie and Sue Hiers of Sacramento, California; her cousin Virginia Yarbrough of Moultrie; her nephew Mike Hiers (Barbara); and her nieces, Michelle May (Jason) and Marlana Turner (Scott). She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
