She was predeceased by: her parents, James Moten Bledsoe and Mary Ethel Harrell Bledsoe; her husband James Buford Simmons; and her siblings, Haskel Corbet Bledsoe, James Haywood Bledsoe, Leslie Warren Bledsoe, James Moten Bledsoe, Jr., Paul Lamar Bledsoe, Martha Bledsoe Wauters, Katie Sue Bledsoe Campbell and Bessie Lou Bledsoe Moore.

She is survived by: her daughter Mary Georgette Jones (Donnie) of Moultrie; her grandchildren, Morgan Lynn Jones and April Jones Goodson (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Kinsley Pearl Goodson and Waylon Jackson Goodson; and her niece Connie Hart of Moultrie.
