He is survived by: his wife Sybil Hawke Haymons of Moultrie; his sons, George Haymons, Jr. of Thomasville and Andy Haymons of Moultrie; his grandchildren, Andy Haymons II, Amanda Cheney, Grace Fredieu, Dan Haymons and George Haymons III; and his siblings, Lester Haymons, Sylvia Gellner of Maryland, Betty Jo Barber of Moultrie, Florence Moore of Moultrie and Tonita Legette of Moultrie. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
