It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Lawrence Kirkland of Moultrie, Georgia, born in Millen, Georgia, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Kirkland and Earnestine "Tina" Waters Kirkland. He is survived by: his wife Martha Lewis Baker Kirkland of Moultrie; his children, Brad Baker (Deb) of Marietta and Kristi Sutton (John Paul) of Norman Park; his grandchildren, Anna Leigh Aldrich (Canon) of Norman Park, Abby Sutton of Norman Park, Ada Sutton of Norman Park, Erin Baker of Marietta and Ty Baker of Marietta; his sisters, Kay Sapp (Ruwis) of Warwick and Suzanne Brown (Ray) of Albany; his sisters-in-law, Diane Marchant of Hilliard, Shirlene Billings (Brad) of Jacksonville and Jenni Carter (Lamar) of Moultrie; his niece Haley Crosson (Bert) of Tifton; and his nephew Scott Sapp of Leesburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; special friends; and his beloved dog.
