He was predeceased by: his parents, Adair Pinkney Chapman, Sr. and Julia Elizabeth Butler Chapman; and his siblings, Adair Chapman (Nancy), Forrest Chapman, Loren Curtis Chapman and Mildred Ary (Kermit).

He is survived by: his brother Adair Pinkney, Jr.; his brother-in-law Kermit Ary; and his children, Darla Horn (Ron) and Terry Curtis, Jr. (Tracee).
