She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Courtney and Urbie Flowers Courtney; her husband Donald K. West; her brothers, Eugene Courtney and Wendell Courtney; and her sister-in-law Edith Courtney.
She is survived by: her son Thomas G. Mothershed (Doris) of Moultrie; her grandchildren, Thomas G. Mothershed, Jr. (Jessica) of Moultrie, Donald K. Mothershed (Jennifer) of Moultrie and Daniel J. Mothershed (Savannah) of Moultrie; her great grandchildren, Kristina, Taylor, Lily, Ethan, Sawyer and Cooper; her brother Paul Courtney (Peggy) of Florida; and her sister-in-law Helen Courtney of Moultrie. She is also survived by her grandsons and great-grandchildren.
