He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Buford Martin and Scarlett J. Huley; and his brother Don Martin. He is survived by: his significant other Bonnie Singleton of Moultrie; his children, Trent Martin of Florida, Duolley Austin Martin of Florida, John Singleton (Marsha) of Thomasville, George Singleton (Loretta) of Cairo, Michael Paxton (Leann) of Thomasville, Terri Smith (Brian) of Thomasville and Jeannie Singleton of West Virginia; and his sisters, Sue Martin and Margueite Atkinson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
