She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas "Bud" Jerkins and Bertie Orea Hammacke Jerkins; her husband Edward E. Johnson, Sr.; her daughter Sandra Johnson; and her siblings, James Jerkins, Martha Ann Sellars and Melvaline J. Rabon.
She is survived by: her children, Edward E. Johnson, Jr. (Chris) and Sheila Johnson; her grandchildren, Lesli Cook (Bob), Scott Johnson and Matthew Johnson (Egle); her sister Catherine Taylor; and her sister-in-law Ada Frances Dodd. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
