He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ottis May and Bertha Elizabeth McGee May; and his brothers, Dr. James O. May, Dr. William O. May, Jr. and Kenneth May.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Grace Murphy May of Moultrie, Georgia; his grandchildren, Lindsey May of Tallahassee, Florida and Ashley May of Tallahassee, Florida; and his close friend Judge Franklin Horkan.
