It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delton L. Powell Jr. (Moultrie, Georgia), who passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Delton Lee Powell Sr.; his wife Barbara Freeman Powell; his children, Kerry Rene Powell and Benita Fran Powell Tillman; and his sister Mamie Powell Tompkins.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Powell (Rose), Lynn Sikes (Ricky) and Dell Powell (Allison); his son-in-law Eric Tillman; his grandchildren, Brandon Tillman (Jackie), Robby Powell, Justin Powell (Ashlie), Stacey Tillman (Cara), Casey Sikes (Alannah), Misty Moon (Donnie), Brittany English (Caleb), Austin Sikes, Ella Powell and Wilson Powell; his great grandchildren, Brently, Wyatt Tillman, Haley, Brandon Tillman Jr., Levi, Julie Rose, Mackenzie Moon, Bodie, Baylor Powell and Anslie Sikes; and his siblings, Dennis J. Powell (Mary Faye) of Berlin, Myrtle L. Thornton of Moultrie and Betty Mallard (Charles) of Norman Park. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
