He was predeceased by: his parents, James David Sanders and Blanche Mae Phillips Sanders; his wife Barbara Jean Roberts Sanders; his daughter Gail Adams; and his siblings, Hugene Sanders, Odell Sanders, James Sanders, Betty Joyce Flenigan and Louise Peters.
He is survived by: his children, David Sanders (Pam) of Hartsfield, Steve Sanders (Debbie) of Moultrie and Valeeca Moncrief (David) of Moultrie; his grandchildren, DeShuan Mills (Jason), Heath Tatum (Della), Clint Cook (Dana), Ashley Cook, Julie Horne, Jarrod Sanders (Elizabeth), Kristie Comer, Mike Sanders (Rebecca) and Tonya Cook; his great grandchildren, Allie Mills, Tatum of Montana, Cais Cook, Cam Cook, Canyon Cook, Hannah Welsh, Jacob Comer (Lexi), Drake Comer, Casidy Walden (Mark) and Emily Smith (Kieth); and his great great grandchild Kinsleigh Brooke Comer.
