He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas "Tom" Gibbs, Sr. and Ethel Flowers Gibbs; his grandson Zachary Gustinger; and his siblings, Jimmy Gibbs, Tom Gibbs, Jr., Dewey Gibbs, Charles Gibbs, Gene Gibbs, Unita Newsome, Lucille May and Faye Henson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Gibbs Martin (Jeff) of Woodstock, Donna Renee Gibbs Gustinger of Charlotte, Cheryl Suzanne Domanic (Rich) of Fort Lauderdale and Christa Elizabeth Kolb of Dahlonega; and his grandchildren, Cameron Garrison, Christopher Garrison, Mara Kolb, Sydney Gustinger and Ryley Gustinger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
