She is survived by: her husband John Marion Mathis; her children, Cindy Leigh Mathis Tyus (Steve) of Moultrie and Alan Lee Mathis (Dena) of Moultrie; her grandchildren, Leigh Anna Tyus Peek (Matt), Stephen Mathis Tyus (Emily), Julie Anne Tyus and Haden Lee Blevins Mathis; her great grandchildren, Maddie Claire Peek, John David Peek, Ellie Grace Peek and Ruthie Anne Peek; her siblings, Lavon Stripling (Beth) of Moultrie and Debby Stripling Whitley (Lane) of Moultrie; her sister-in-law Joan Folsom; and her great grandchild Nathan Tyus.
