He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Murphy and Sallie Gay Murphy; and his siblings, Pauline Gay and Devon Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Tucker Murphy; and his children, Jimmy Murphy (Charlotte) of Leesburg, Connie Lacey (Wayne) of Moultrie, Deborah Murphy of Moultrie, Glenn Murphy of Moultrie and Michael Murphy (Kim) of Albany. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
