He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Gunn and Lee Ola Cory Gunn; his wife Mary Evelyn Johnson Gunn; his son Peter Gunn; and his siblings, Van Lee Gunn, Lamar Gunn and Mae Gunn Newell.
He is survived by: his daughter Shellie Samantha Gunn Phillips (Timothy) of Moultrie, Georgia; his grandchildren, Tim Phillips, Jr. (Kerra) and Cannon Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Myles Phillips and Sage Phillips.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home & Crematory (2222 GA-37, Moultrie, GA 31788). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
