He is survived by: his wife Viola Jean Barlow Gissendanner; his children, Donna Jean Gissendanner Sallee (Larry), Rhonda Jan Gissendanner Colvin (John), Cindy Joy Gissendanner Besson (Bill) and Kay Lisa Gissendanner Bozeman (Tim); his grandchildren, Leslie Kelley (D. J.), Jean Potter (Eric), Chad Hensley, Jonathan Hensley, Will Besson, John Besson, Rebecca Smith, Nicole Lee (Austin) and Kaleb Broome (Julie); and his brother Clarence Gissendanner (Virginia). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
