She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Cullen Waites and Lola Stripling Waites; her siblings, Cullen Waites, Calhoun Waites, Jerry Waites, Aubrey Cannady, Lazelle Roberts and Hazel Long; and her daughter Kathy McLean.

She is survived by: her son Glenn Hiers (Carol) of Loudon, Tennessee; and her brother Lloyd "Mann" Waites of Norman Park.
