He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark "Buster" Lawrence and Lilla Mae Lawrence; his siblings, William "Chester" Lawrence, John Victor Lawrence, Beverly Hicks and Corine Howard; and his children, Johnny Lawrence (Crystal), Carolyn Lawrence, Frankie Mae Lawrence and Teresa Lawrence.

He is survived by: his wife Myra Lawrence; his sisters, Lillie Ruth Lyle and Leonolia Wiley; and his children, Barbara Ann Denard (Nathaniel), Venetta Gibson, Marcus Lawrence (Anita), Edwin Lawrence (Lisa), Timothy Lawrence (Felisa), Sean Lawrence (Rina) and Michele Lawrence. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
