A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Thomas L Scroggs Funeral Directors (6362 S Lee St, Morrow, GA 30260). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morrow Cemetery.

“We love our stepfather very much. He's been our stepfather since before 1976. Our mother Ida Byrd Williams passed 9 years ago to the day our stepfather passed on January 6, 2025. She loved him dearly, and we're happy they will be together again. She called him home to be with her and he readily went. Thank You Lord for blessing us with the best parents in the world. To daddy's extended family, friends, and neighbors I send my condolences. A special thanks to Johnny and Marie Britt.”
