She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brackston Gilbert Sr. and Minnie Glenn Craven Gilbert; and her brother William "Billy" Gilbert. She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Lee Mewborn; her sons, Michael Thomas Mewborn (Cindy) and Jeffrey Gilbert Mewborn (Cindy); her grandchildren, Thomas Mewborn, Sarah Mewborn, Kayla Brown, Jacob Mewborn, Noah Mewborn, Jessica Cunningham and Jonathon Wambles; her great grandchildren, Ellie, Piper, Dannie, Macy, Caroline, Levi and Harper; and her sisters, Betty Thompson, Charlotte Courtoy, Mary Cook and Sue Linnenkohl. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors (6362 S Lee St, Morrow, GA 30260). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar Noahs Ark Church (2952 Noahs Ark Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the same location.
