He is survived by: his wife Martha Veasey Thompson; his children, Joy Thompson Thomas of Fayetteville and Scot Thompson (Valerie Tschappat Thompson) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Adrienne Thompson Bagley (Jonathan) of St. Simons Island, Seth Thompson (Robert Truan) of Decatur, Georgia, Bree Hayley Thomas of Fayetteville and Connor A. Thompson of Atlanta; and his great grandchildren, Christian Thomas, Sarah Bagley and Jon Bagley.
