It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Wentz Colangelo of Morganton, Georgia, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton T. Wentz and Dorothy Cook Wentz; and her daughter Kimberly Petraites. She is survived by: her husband Roger Colangelo of Morganton; her children, Katie (Justin Turner), Krista Colangelo of Columbus, GA. and Robert; her daughter-in-law Michelle Colangelo of Wichita, KS.; her brother Robert; her sister-in-law Nancy Wentz of Knoxville, TN.; her grandchildren, Andre (A. J.), Nikita, Natasha, Kimberly and Xena; and her great grandchild Aaliya. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MAD) in Kathy's memory.
