He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter "Granny" Vaughn, Sr. and Martha Jane Pilgrim Vaughn. He is survived by: his son Tyler Vaughn (Sandra); his stepson Daniel Bentley; his grandchildren, Logan, Freya, Dominic, Nathan and Brie; and his sister Beth Warbington (Rickey).
