She was predeceased by: her father Willis Ruben Thomas; her siblings, Joyce Speakes, Sue Kent and David Thomas; and her niece Gaye Sessions.
She is survived by: her sister Darlene; her brother-in-law Terry Ledford of Morganton; her brothers, Haskell (Peggy Thomas) and Willie (Martha Thomas); her sister-in-law Linda Thomas of Griffin, GA; and her nieces and nephews, Jeff Thomas, Greg Thomas, David Thomas, Kelly Coffey, Demetrius Collier, Dinean Stevens, Sally Kent, Dana Welch, Tracy Earley and April Diane Israel. She is also survived by 19 great nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great nieces and nephews.
