He was predeceased by: his parents, B. L. Patterson and Helen Ruth Raper Patterson; and his brothers, Danny, Eddie and Joey Patterson.
He is survived by: his brother John; his sister-in-law Judy Patterson of Morganton; his sister Mary Warren of Blairsville; and his nieces and nephews, Tonya, Jeremy, Tina, Missy, James and Nathan. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
