He was predeceased by: his parents, James Darwin Nielsen and Stella Chandler Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Laura Maynard Nielsen; his children, Cherie DeMilt, Kara Carroll, Kirk Nielsen Bustamonte, Araina Diaz, Zane Nielsen, Eleasa Nielsen and Lance Nielsen; and his siblings, Delyle Nielsen, Esta Atkins, Cliff Nielsen, Terry Nielsen and Sandy Poulter. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
