It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ward of Montrose, Georgia, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Abbie Ward. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ward of Montrose; his children, Sharon Gouge (Dale) of Montrose and Mark Ward (Shane) of Dublin; his grandchildren, Blake Ward (Lacee) of Dublin, Tyler Fountain of Montrose, Cameron Ward of Dublin, Logan Ward of Dublin and Rachel VorWahlde (Dusty) of Minnesota; his great grandchildren, Saylor Blake Ward of Dublin, Oliva VonWahlde of Minnesota and Maverick VonWahlde of Minnesota; his siblings, Murray Ward (Paula) of Dublin, Shirley Morris (Dewell) of East Dublin and Al Ward (Teresa) of Dublin; and his brothers-in-law, Louie Smith (Geneva) of Cochran and Ralph Smith (Dale) of Warner Robins. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and Staff respectfully ask all in attendance to follow social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montrose Baptist Church.
