He was predeceased by his parents, John Hester and Helen Hester, his brother Kenneth F. Hester. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela; his beloved children, Rebecca Hester and Shane Hester (Mistie) and his much loved, adored and spoiled by Pa-Paw grandsons, Mason and Isaiah Hester. He is also survived by his best friend of many years, Daniel Harrell.

He will be missed by many friends and acquaintances, whom he loved dearly and cherished.
