He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gibson and Florence Gibson of Monticello, GA.; and his son Gary Douglas Gibson. He is survived by: his significant other Louise Gibson; his sons, Ernie Gibson (Missy) and Steve Gibson (Shiela); his grandchildren, Travis Gibson (Sarah), Brian Gibson (Laurel), Michael Gibson and Sara Lewis (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Adlen Gibson, Alexa Gibson, Kaja Gibson, Byron Gibson and Mia Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested considering a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
