He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Newton and Lois Eugenie Price Cummings; and his siblings, Mary Hancock and Jack Cummings. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Nolan Cummings; his children, Scott Cummings (DeAnn) of Monticello, Shawne Cummings Holder (Greg) of Monticello and Ryan Cummings of Monticello; his grandchildren, Scottiann, Matthew, Ashley, Gracie, Jackson, Ethan and Natalie; and his sister Lynsey Adams of Zebulon.
