It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luvenia Schofield Perkins (Montezuma, Georgia), born in Oglethorpe, Georgia, who passed away on February 3, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Schofield and Jannie B. Williamson Schofield. She is survived by: her children, Lavern Perkins of Montezuma, Evonne Moore of Montezuma, Ida Bell Bogan (John) of Montezuma, Jeanette Perkins of Byron, Richard Perkins (Shelia), Dr. Emory L, DC of Washington, Milton Perkins (Pamela) of Montezuma, Georgia, Elnora G. Felton (William) of Montezuma, Georgia and Willie Smith of Montezuma, Georgia; her children-in-law, Walter B. Schofield (Artie English) of Montezuma, Jannie Schofield Beal of Montezuma, Minnie Schofield Smith of Montezuma, Roosevelt Schofield, Johnny Schofield and Jerry Schofield; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Schofield, Eunice Lemons and Lois Perkins. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren; six siblings.
Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing. Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels.
