He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Hubert Slaton; his wife Elisia Stapp Slaton of Monroe; his daughters, Michelle (Jimmy Lazenby) and Amanda (Thomas Hawk); his sisters, Patsy Smith of Good Hope and Laverne Stovall of Rutledge; and his grandchildren, Erica Lazenby, Haley Lazenby, Madison Lazenby, Mackenzie Hawk and Eric Hawk.
