He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland and Mamie Harden Buchanan, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Diane L. Buchanan of Monroe; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Daniel Hicks of Monroe; his son Mark Buchanan of Monroe; his grandchildren, Brittany Newbold, Chassity and Dillon Palmer; and his great grandchildren, Amari Newbold, Kailen Mullen and Annalee Palmer.
