He is survived by: his parents, Sammie Scoggins and Alice Scoggins; his wife Ellen; his children, Jeremy (Jennie), Jason (Joy), Joshua (Jessica), Jonathan (Katie) and Joanna; his grandfather Mickey; his grandchildren, Joseph, James, Jacob, Henry, Alice and Luke; and his brother Tommy Scoggins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (1180 Old Monroe Madison Hwy, Monroe, GA 30655). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
