She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Tilden McGhee Underwood (Mack); her parents, Alvah Hugo Hooks and Dahlia Aquila Smith Hooks; her son-in-law John A. Beavers; and her grandson Lt. Scott Matthew Underwood.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Cockrell (Jerry), Jerry Underwood (Janett), Mary Beavers and David Underwood (Karen). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
