He was predeceased by: his father John Harry Brown, Sr.; and his sister Peggy Brown Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kilgore Brown; his daughter Donna; his son-in-law Mark Sisk; his son John Alan Brown; his grandsons, Wesley Brown Sisk (Maghan), John Taylor Sisk (JoAnna) and William Chase Sisk (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Andi and Hudson Sisk.

Flowers will be accepted at Meadows Funeral Home or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Monroe or to George Walton Academy in memory of John Harry Brown Jr. Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
