He is survived by: his wife Carol Sparks (Burnett); his children, John David Sparks, Jr. (Michelle) of Loganville, GA, Teresa Elaine Sparks (Tracy) of Conyers, GA and Toby Michael Sparks (Marianne) of Loganville, GA; his grandchildren, Josh Grow, Chase Grow (Morgan), Johnny Sparks (Courtney), TJ Sparks, Max Sparks (Celeste) and Zachary Sparks; his great grandchildren, Cohen Grow, Chason Grow, Caroline Grow, Davy Sparks and Noah Sparks; his brothers, William Sparks (Cathy) of Marietta, GA and Jerome Arnold of Eaton, GA; his mother-in-law Aileen Burnett; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Crews and Jackie Burnett.
