He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Isom Allen and Mary Lou Whitley Allen; his sister Jean; his brother-in-law Junior Tanner; his siblings, Laverne Patrick, Barbara Bell and Charles; his sister-in-law Ann Allen; and his brothers, Kenneth Allen, Joe Allen and Robert Allen (Bozo).

He is survived by: his wife Martha Smith Allen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great niece.
