He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Owen "Doc" Fowler and Zelpha Mae Phillips Fowler; his wife Elsie Faye Gray Fowler of Pensacola; and his siblings, Gerald "Geri" Fowler, Ivan Fowler, Betty Grimm and Marilyn Kolosik.
He is survived by: his children, John Fowler of Iowa, Rebecca Panter (Robert) of Monroe, GA, Sharon Butler (Jim) of Dallas, GA and Judy Burns (Johnny) of Hokes Bluff, AL; and his grandchildren, Michael Fowler (Maggie), Melissa Howard (Jeff), Lindsey Niknezhad (Tommy), Jason Moore (Pat), Jennifer Guzman (Arturo), Autumn Brown (Jason), Josh Burns, Sabrina Caban (Israel) and Timmy Burns. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
