It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Shumate Eason of Monroe, Georgia, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Lee Sanders Shumate and Grover Willie Shumate; her husband James Howell Eason; and her siblings, Mary Jo Shumate and Jimmy Shumate.

She is survived by: her daughter Shelia; her son-in-law Danny McElwaney; her siblings, Margaret Harris, Elizabeth Moon, Dorothy Needham, Gene Shumate and Jessie Shumate; and her grandchildren, Patrick McElwaney, Heather Suarez and Kristen Hadaway. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
