He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hester Smith; his sons, David (Karen Smith), Linn Smith and Mark (Terri Smith); his grandchildren, Melissa, Rob Edgerton, Erin Smith, Courtney, Jake Lord, Benjamin Smith, Leah, Matt Robinson, Angela, Randy Dover, Mark, Caitlin Smith, Jr., Arica and Dustin Unser; and his great grandchildren, Ava Edgerton, Gwen Edgerton, Myles Edgerton, Neela Cox, Jack Lord, Cora Lord, Bryson Dover, Savannah Dover, Ella Dover, Bannon Smith, Redding Smith, Rowen Unser, Rylee Unser, Beck Robinson and Gemma Robinson.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home (760 State Hwy 11, Monroe, GA 30655).
