With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Owens Fulmer Jr. of Monroe, Georgia, who passed away on April 30, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Owens Fulmer, Sr. and Sallie Jeannett Woodfin Fulmer; his wife Peggy Batchelor Fulmer; his daughter Cindy Crabtree; and his sister June Bishop.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lorrie Haney and Diane Hightower; his stepdaughter Patty Tudman; his brother-in-law Wendell Bishop; his grandchildren, Emily, Will Gearhart, Ashley, Stephen White, Nick, Makenzie Haney, Holly, Brian Taylor and Mitch Haney; his great grandchildren, Harold, Lucy, Lizzie and John Gearhart; and his grandchildren, Brooke, Channing, Lilly Taylor, Daniel, Gideon, Elijah, Abraham, Viva Kay White and Elliot Haney.

“I am just finding out about George passing. I’m so sorry. He was a wonderful man! I enjoyed getting to know him and Peggy after my father and mother in law passed. They were all close friends. I’m ashamed I didn’t keep in touch better after Peggy passed but I will always have fond memories of both of them. He and I shared a love of Bluegrass music. Please know that y'all are in my prayers during this time.”
