We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2021, at the age of 73, Gary Wiggins of Monroe, Georgia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Wiggins to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Ann Cowart Wiggins and Herbert Eugene Wiggins. He is survived by: his wife Cecile Wiggins of Monroe; his children, Laura, Stephen Martz of Franklin, IN and Rachel Stubbs of Winder; his grandchildren, Tyler Martz, Jackson Martz, Lila Martz, Gary Stubbs and Mike Stubbs; and his siblings, Janice Fuller, Cathlene Wilson, Carla McDonald, Betty Jean Wiggins, Michael Wiggins and Robert Wiggins.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations to The American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

“Gary and I raced each other in the Atlanta SCCA autocross series in the 80's and early 90's. We were in H-Stock class where he campaigned a Chevy Cavalier, if I recall correctly. He was always friendly, especially notable, given we were competitors :) Although I haven't seen him in years, i would consider him a friend. RIP, Gary.”

“I have known and spent much SCCA time with Gary since 1987, mostly at SCCA autocrosses. He always had a smile as we would raze each other. His passing has left a hole in my heart, thus I am reminded of the quote by Aeschylus, a Greek poet (525-456 BC), which I will paraphrase here: "And even in our deepest sleep, searing pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the broken heart and in our own deep despair, against our strong will, comes solacing wisdom by the awesome grace of God."”
